St Georges Catholic Primary School
Overview
All weather accessible space
The school consulted with Maxim Play regarding the school’s outdoor space, which was underutilized. By incorporating artificial grass and resin bonded rubber bark, the area was revamped into an all-weather accessible space. The introduction of a Maxim Play solution converted the previously neglected area into a vibrant play zone for children. Opting for an all-weather usable space for learning, dining and play, enabling children of all ages and skill levels to enjoy the environment to its fullest potential.
Project Overview
- Location: Worcestershire
- Client: St Georges Catholic Primary School
- Play: An all-weather usable space for learning, dining and play

Packed with play for children’s interests and abilities
The schools identified two areas in need of refurbishment, each with distinct requirements. Beginning with the Early Years section, they opted for a transformation that included the installation of a new Maxim Shade Canopy and a selection of our Resin Bonded Rubber Bark. This thoughtful upgrade not only offers a sheltered space usable in all weather conditions but also replaces the previous timber shelter and slabbed ground, enhancing both practicality and aesthetics. Moving to the second area, situated at the rear of the school beneath a canopy of trees, the focus shifted to creating a tranquil yet functional space. Prior to our intervention, the overgrown grass and foliage were cleared to make way for the installation of a charming timber Gazebo. To complement this focal point, our team crafted winding pathways using resin bonded rubber bark, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings while providing durable and low-maintenance walkways for the school community to enjoy.
